Mandarin learning is becoming a popular choice among
global learners, especially for international students from various countries.
In recent years, Taiwan's Chinese language education has witnessed an
increasing number of international students participating enthusiastically, not
only promoting the international spread of Mandarin but also facilitating
cultural exchange. Learning Mandarin not only enhances language proficiency but
also provides a profound experience of Taiwanese culture, bridging the gap
between different cultures.
International students had the opportunity to showcase
their individual learning achievements, marking a moment of teamwork and
collective effort. In the future, as international exchanges become more
frequent, Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology will provide
higher-quality Mandarin learning opportunities for international students
through increased cooperation and innovation, jointly promoting language and
cultural exchange.
Vice President Chou Te-Kuang stated that Taiwan's New
Year rituals and activities not only symbolize the festive atmosphere of
celebrating the new year but also represent a moment of uniting emotions,
showcasing culture, and embracing new challenges. The purpose of organizing
this event was to enable the university's international students in Taiwan to
experience the local New Year's culture, feel the lively atmosphere of the
Lunar New Year celebrations, and wish that in the new year, every international
student would accumulate diverse strengths and enriched skills during their
studies at STUST. The university will continue its efforts to build more
cross-cultural exchange platforms, providing international students with a
wider range of colorful activities, allowing them to have an even more
unforgettable time in Taiwan while promoting the fusion of global cultures.
