Fostering Cultural Exchange and Friendship: South Taiwan University of Science and Technology’s Cultural Day Event

Tainan, Taiwan - South Taiwan University of Science and Technology (STUST) held a cultural day on September 15, 2024, with the theme of "Campus Tour." The event invited Taiwanese and international freshmen from five countries, including Germany, Austria, Vietnam, Belize, and Indonesia. The event attracted over 60 participants.


The event provided an opportunity for international students to interact with Taiwanese freshmen through small group activities. Students walked around the campus and explored different areas, learning about the school's history and environment. At the end of the tour, students took a photo together in different scenic corners of the campus, symbolizing the bond of friendship.



International students who participated in the event expressed their excitement about the opportunity to meet Taiwanese students. They said that Taiwanese students were very friendly and they felt comfortable talking to them. They also liked the campus of STUST, which they found to be vibrant and lively.

STUST hopes that the cultural day will help international students feel welcome and at home. The university also hopes that the event will inspire Taiwanese students to be more interested in internationalization. By participating in the event, STUST hopes to become a more internationalized campus.
