History, Development and Key Responsibilities

I. History and Development

The Office of International and Cross-Strait Affairs at Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology (STUST) originated as the International Exchange Section under the Office of Research and Development. In January 2009, it became an independent administrative unit dedicated to promoting international exchange and institutional internationalization.

Since 2023, the Office has continued to strengthen administrative support for internationalization by enhancing its organizational structure, support systems, and multilingual information services. It actively expands global partnerships and promotes dual-degree programs, student exchanges, overseas internships, and international student recruitment. Through collaboration with the International Foundation Program and the Chinese Language Center, the Office also supports international students in developing their language skills and adapting to campus life, fostering an inclusive international campus while enhancing STUST's global visibility and competitiveness.
